A Statement Regarding the Horrific Antisemitic Shooting in Washington, DC on May 21, 2025
Dear Friends,
We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by the demonic horrific murder of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, Israeli Embassy staffers just recently gunned down in Washington, D.C., as their killer shouted, “Free, Free Palestine.” This was not activism—it was antisemitism in its most violent form.
Let’s stop pretending there’s a line between anti-Zionism and antisemitism. This attack makes the truth undeniable. When calls to “liberate Palestine” are followed by bullets aimed at the Jewish people, we must confront what this really is: a hatred of the Jewish people.
In Canada, pro-Palestinian protests are allowed to fester unchecked, while the majority of our leaders remain silent. As a result, antisemitism has spiked—and if we fail to act now, to rise and speak boldly, this same violence will soon reach our own doorstep. Hate knows no borders; it thrives when good people say nothing.
We are in a spiritual battle—between light and darkness, truth and deception.
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness…”— Isaiah 5:20
So, please join us in praying for the families, the Jewish community worldwide, and for Israel, as we remain steadfast in our unwavering support for Israel and the Jewish people.
